EC: NATX Ruck Club members (Red Ryder, Golden Pinky, Newton) rucked the hills of Travisso trying to warm up as much as possible before the main event

The Thang (Pyramid of Pain)

After a short mosey over to the base of our signature steep hill, the PAX performed what YHC named the Pyramid of Pain. There would be 5 exercises performed with a PAX run after each exercise as follows:

  • Exercise 1 – 50 Side Straddle Hops OYO
    • Once all of the PAX was done, we ran up the hill and back down. 
  • Round 2 – 40 Squats SC
    • Once all of the PAX was done, we ran up the hill and back down.
  • Exercise 3 – 30 Merkins OYO
    • Once all of the PAX was done, we ran up the hill and back down. 
  • Round 4 – 20 Lunges (10 each leg) OYO
    • Once all of the PAX was done, we ran up the hill and back down.
  • Round 5 – 10 burpees OYO

After the final exercise was completed the PAX took a mosey down the hill in front of the clubhouse and around the parking lot finishing up at the Shovel Flag.

With the PAX circled up and YHC leading in the middle, the PAX finished the morning with the Circle of Pain:

Announcements

  • Don’t forget that the Halloween Ruck workout at The Greyhound is next Wednesday before Halloween and encouraged the PAX to wear costumes citing potential rewards in the form of less pain for those that do. If you don’t have a ruck, (buy one already!), one will be provided for you. EC Ruck will begin at 4:30 and Main Event at 5:30.
  • Keep your eyes on the NATX Slack page over the next couple of days, YHC will be posting about our next 2nd F happy hour.
  • Go sign up for the GORUCK Tough here in Austin in January of 2021! NATX members already make up 10% of the max occupancy!

Awesome job by the guys who braved the cold and wind this morning! As we talked about the Jester in QSource on Thursday, YHC wants to push home the point that our NATX group is a place where anything and everything can be talked about. There is no judgement, we are all brothers grinding through life together in what has definitely become more than just a workout group. Whatever you might be going through, one or all of us have either gone through it before, are currently going through it, or will go through it at some point.
