THE THANG

To celebrate our triumphant return to the gloom after a 63 day hiatus, Chernobyl and Spike led the PAX in a 5 ALARM beatdown. Based on COVID-19 protocols, the PAX split into two groups (evens and odds) to do the thang.

The rounds included 63 seconds of each exercise:

  • 1: Overhead Press, Lunge, LBC, Run, Merkins
  • 2: Shoulder Taps, Jumps Squats, Peter Parkers, Russian Twists, Singlet Merkins*
  • 3: Burpees, Copper Head Squat, Mountain Climbers, Rockette Hillbillies, Chuck Norris Merkins
  • 4: Plank Hold, Super Skaters, American Hammers, Russian Dips, Monkey Humpers
  • 5: Arm Circle, Butt Kicks, Flutter Kicks, Run, Wide Arm Merkins

*  – Variation of ALARM 2: Odds group performed 63 reps of each instead of 63 seconds and subbed Singlet Merkins for Ranger Merkins

Returning to the gloom after 63 days feels amazing. We are excited to get back out IRL and get our sweat on (maintaining a respectable distance, of course). This is a great way to starting getting back to the new normal of life during COVID. Stay encouraged, stay safe, and stay in the gloom
